Dr Jamali has been performing outpatient total knee replacement since 2014. This procedures has many advantages over the traditional surgeries done in the hospital. It is made possible both by meticulous performance of the surgery and also by our great team of anesthesiologists who are experts in nerve blocks that will keep you comfortable for many days after the surgery. By the time, the nerve block wears off, much of the surgical pain is already gone.

Dr. Amir Jamali is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in joint replacement.

He received his MD with honors from the Medical College of Virginia followed by residency at the University of California, San Diego and then completed his fellowship at Harvard's world renowned Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Jamali has performed over 2000 total knee replacements and has published extensively on the subject. He has been selected as one of the Top Doctors by Sacramento Magazine and Sactown Magazine as well as being honored by the national organization, Best Doctors.

Over the past 8 years, Dr. Jamali has performed over 200 outpatient total knee replacements with outstanding results.

In spite of multiple research and educational achievements, Dr. Jamali is most comfortable talking with patients. His goals are to explain and simplify complex medical issues and then provide precise and technically excellent nonsurgical and surgical care.

He is currently serving patients through Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation, Oakland with Telemedicine and conservative care options available to patient location.
